How confident are you with your marketing efforts? Reaching the person you are intending to reach can be a dilemma for marketers. Sending messages or mailers to the wrong person can be a waste of time and money, something no one appreciates. Stop wasting your resources with ineffective marketing.

Knowing how to reach a potential customer is the first step. Not only does it help with cost effectiveness but can also help begin a relationship. Most of us enjoy the personal touch. A major retailer emails me with catchy, seemingly personal tag lines that show up in my inbox. Saying, “this totally reminds us of you”, makes me curious enough to take a look. Generic emails from other brands, do not get the same attention from me.

On the flip side, receiving a text for Matthew (whoever that is) on my phone, is irritating and just makes me less interested in what the message is even about. It can also make me suspicious. Even though I do not have a personal relationship with any of the retailers mentioned, one message clearly is more personal and therefore more relevant to me.
